Thomas Hayden Church is “Gus Porter: American Mountain Man.” On a trip through the Canadian wilderness he is mauled by a bear but rather than receive Canada’s socialized medicine he chooses to walk to America and use his own HMO. That kind of patriotism brings a tear to our eyes. They should erect a statue of that man somewhere, maybe right in front of Kaiser-Permanente.

This parody of “The Wrestler” is basically saying that the American economy is a washed up has been, just like Mickey Rourke. Man, we would argue that if we could find any evidence to support the opposing viewpoint.
