It looks like we’re getting to the end of weeks and weeks of nothing but news about crazy screaming people at health care town hall meetings. Before we’re done with it, let’s see if we can squeeze the last few drops of humor out of this whole thing. Fortunately, Texas House Republican Pete Olson looks like he is up to the task.
While at a town hall, the good Mr. Olson decided to tell a story about a mom whose young son was denied treatment by private insurers to cover the child’s heart transplant. Okay, good story so far. Then he tries to link that the a public option, stating that Obama’s death panels would have also turned down the kid. Wait, what? The people at the town hall meeting weren’t buying it either. It’s too bad that this video is only 2:13, because we’re pretty sure that Representative Olson probably had to dodge a few shoes on the way out the door.
