Sarah Palin (who used to be Governor of Alaska for a very short time) and Newt Gingrich (who was Speaker of the House when he wasn’t leaving his wife on her deathbed), both want us to believe that President Obama’s new health care initiatives are going to institute “death panels”
So, of course, Jon Stewart had to convene his own panel of “experts” to debate the merits of this imaginary thing with Samantha Bee advocating privatization of the death panels, John Oliver (ever the Euro) arguing for public access to death panels and Aasif Mandvi going tribal for some reason.
Meanwhile, Stephen Colbert had the ridiculous notion to point out to Ms. Palin and Mr. Gingrich that they’re talking about things that aren’t real. What’s next, Colbert? You’re going to let us know that you’re pretending to be someone you’re not? Likely story, sir. Likely story.
Maybe if William Shatner read Sarah Palin’s messages aloud, it would all make more sense? And just for good measure, here are 10 ways not-governor Palin can work the media to her advantage.
