Just when we thought it was safe for America to heal its long-running racial divide…curses! This kerfuffle between the police of Cambridge, Mass., Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr., and the misguided efforts of President Barack Obama to weigh in on the incident had The Daily Show asking questions last night.

Senior Black Correspondent Larry Wilmore has a few opinions on this issue, himself. Namely, how ideal is it for a professor on black studies to have a real-life example of oppression to tell his students about!? Just how black is Gates, anyhow? How does Obama show his street cred by sticking up for an Ivy League, best-selling author who rides a tricycle? And how is alcohol ever the answer to solving racial tension?
