The New York Times and Politico have reviews of the first of three Ann Coulter vs. Bill Maher debates. They’re in Boston tonight and Chicago on Wednesday. Before you assume any crazy shit went down, just know that Maher and Coulter are friends who were even rumored to be dating a few years ago. Coulter did brush off Meghan McCain’s newest column where she calls her “offensive, radical, insulting and confusing all at the same time.” And the duo debated on a variety of political issues, including stem cell research, Nancy Reagan, evolution, Iraq, Wall Street, Barack Obama and George W. Bush.
The best lines we’ve heard:
On Barack Obama being compared to Abraham Lincoln
Coulter: Did Lincoln do blow mostly in high school or did he wait until college?
Maher: To start off, George Bush did a lot more blow than Obama ever did. Please don’t ruin the only thing I like about him.
On Rush Limbaugh
Maher: We all say crazy shit when we’re high.
