We realize that a lot of people are going to say, “Who?” when Louisiana Governor, Bobby Jindal is mentioned at this point, but he’s going to be important. A lot of people see him in the forefront of GOP candidates for 2012 (John McCain name-dropped him recently, without mentioning Sarah Palin) and he’s giving the follow-up to Barack Obama’s not-a-state-of-the-union-address next Tuesday.
Now it seems that Bobby Jindal might not accept the $4 billion in stimulus money he’d be getting for his home state of Louisiana. “We’ll have to review each program, each new dollar to make sure that we understand what are the conditions, what are the strings and see whether it’s beneficial for Louisiana to use those dollars.” The problem is that Louisiana kinda has a $2 billion budget problem and the stimulus is set to create 50,000 jobs there. Dude, don’t take the money! You’ll look so badass.
Piyush Hussein Van Helsing Jindal was born a Hindu, but renamed himself after Bobby Brady from The Brady Bunch and converted to extreme Catholicism in high school. Like, he thinks Protestants are heretics. He also participated in an exorcism in college, where he thinks he helped chase away a demon and cure his classmate of cancer. Don’t take that money, Bobby! Keep the demons out of Louisiana!
