Houston mayor Bill White has a new ad where he appears next to Martin Luther King Jr. and Barack Obama. MLK is “The Dream”, Obama is “The Change” and somehow White is “The Hope.” People are offended.
White, who is obviously Caucasian, once attempted to close Houston’s Center for the Retarded so some of his campaign contributors could develop the land. White eventually realized that sacrificing handicapped people’s housing and jobs to make a few people richer wouldn’t really fly with his constituents.
