Anybody else ready to move on from the Inauguration? We’re guessing you are since more people watched American Idol last night than the Inaugural Ball. If nothing else, we’re just happy we won’t have to cringe at all of Obama’s Lincoln-worship for a little while. Well, here’s some of the news we haven’t mentioned yet that’s making it’s way around the web today…
- Dick Cheney’s wheelchair was the butt of many jokes. The best one we heard was comparing him to Mr. Potter from It’s A Wonderful Life.
- There are mixed reviews of Obama’s speech. And every tiny aspect of it has been analyzed.
- The GOP doesn’t like the amount of money spent on the Inauguration, even though most of the money was raised privately and tax dollars only covered security.
- Rev. Joseph Lowery’s goofy prayer is actually attracting controversy. Because it was soooooo racist… against white people.
- This video of Bush’s Inauguration in 2001 is pretty crazy, especially compared with yesterday’s festivities.
- Designer Jason Wu is famous now. The guy who made Michelle’s Ball gown used to make dolls for RuPaul and clothes for “The World’s #1 Transexual”, Amanda Lepore. Fashion is weird.
- FOX News was the only station to cover Bush’s homecoming in Midland, Texas.
- And Ted Kennedy is out of the hospital!
